Experience the history of Norrbyskär

In our museum, we tell the story of the unique sawmill community that once existed on the island. A complete society with a church, school, store, and residences. Norrbyskär became its own little world, a world carefully planned by the sawmill owner Frans Kempe. When you visit the museum, you have the opportunity to experience his “model society”.

Our miniature model of Norrbyskär provides a visual representation of how the community and islands once looked. The model is equipped with touch screens so you can navigate for more information about selected buildings.

Museum admission: 40 SEK (children under 15 enter for free).
